These Vanilla Beans are sourced from the Sepik Region of Papua New Guinea which is renowned for producing some of the world's best vanilla.
It is all organically grown by smallholder farmers who get above Fairtrade price for their vanilla.
The beans are traditionally cured to develop the full, complex vanilla flavour made up of over 200 organic compounds which artificial vanilla cannot properly replicate.
The entire process takes anywhere from 6 to 9 months after pollination.
