Sheridans Duck Leg Confit
Irish Sheridans Duck Confit is a delicious combination of crispy and tender meat with an intense mouth-watering flavour. Sheridan’s has added its own unique twist to this popular dish by marinating the duck with a blend of coriander, star anise, cinnamon and pepper that infuses the meat beautifully for a mouth-watering finish. So tasty easy to prepare.
How to use:
Remove from pack and scrape off (and reserve) excess fat. Heat pan and add a little of the duck fat. Place confit in pan skin side down for about 3 minutes or until crispy. Carefully turn confit and briefly seal on other side. Place in oven at 180˚C for 5 minutes or until heated through.
Meanwhile sauté some parboiled baby potatoes in the duck fat until golden. Serve with crisp salad with dressing based on sherry vinegar, walnut oil and wholegrain mustard.
This duck was lovely and equal to any French one. It’s a relief not to have swathes of fat around it like the ones you get in the tin, which is so messy.
It’s easy to cook, very tasty, and I would definitely buy it again.
