
Oranessence | Scorpion Trinidad Moruga Explosive
Born in the Caribbean, on the island of Trinidad, by a passionate farmer, its fruity, floral flavour pairs perfectly with warm and sweet Caribbean flavours.
The heat of this pepper starts at 1,200,000 SHU and rises up to 2,500,000 SHU, depending on the harvest. It is almost equivalent to the Carolina Reaper; its heat builds gradually to last a long time, in short, an explosive gem to be discovered with caution!
Usage: It is best to use it dried in dishes that will allow it to gradually rehydrate: simmered dishes, sauces, soups, oils. It is advised to use an infuser ( e.g a tea ball) to prevent the chilli from getting lost in preparation. To remove it at the right time, taste your dish regularly. For an attenuated spice, add it in the last 15 minutes of cooking. On the contrary, if you want to take advantage of all its strengths, you can put it on from the beginning. The ideal way is to dose per quarter of chilli until you get the strength you are looking for.
