Viña Amate | Crianza

Soft, rich and silky smooth Crianza from a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha.

Classic Rioja blend of the indigenous Tempranillo and Garnacha, aged in oak barrels for 12 months with a minimum 6 months more in bottle. Dark cherry in colour with aromas of warm summer berry pudding, strawberries, blackberries and stewed plums with wafts of vanilla cream, toasted brioche and wild herbs. The palate is rich and soft, layers of dark fruit with melt-in-the-mouth tannins, with hints of coffee, hazelnut, vanilla and chocolate on a long, smooth finish.

Serve this with slow-roasted pork shoulder with a smokey barbecue sauce; just make sure you’ve a second bottle to hand.
