La Vallée des Arômes Chardonnay is a sensory tribute to the distinctive terroir of the Haute Vallée de l’Orb, a mountain vineyard tucked into the foothills of the Cévennes and the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park in southern France.
Grapes are harvested during the night to lock in freshness, with a rigorous parcel selection and cool fermentation using selected yeasts. The wine then undergoes a two-month maturation period on fine lees to build a subtle, creamy texture without the influence of oak.
Bright, pale gold in colour, with a vibrant nose of gooseberry, melon and mango, with floral hints of bergamot and jasmine. The palate is crisp and focused, driven by bright acidity and zesty notes of quince and lemon zest, with those sweeter tropical fruits coming through on the mid-palate and extending through to the finish.
This crisp, floral Chardonnay is an ideal companion for fresh seafood, goat’s cheese, or light poultry dishes.
