This is a classic blend of Merlot (67%), Cabernet Sauvignon (27%) and Cabernet Franc, from vineyards in the southern Gironde, about 60km from Bordeaux.

Ruby-violet in colour with sticky aromas of hedgerow fruit on a warm summer’s day. The palate is dry, smooth and supple, blackcurrant and plum flavours framed by savoury tannins, with some earthy notes, a hint of garrigue or dried leaves.

Serve up with any red meat dishes or mature cheeses.
