Seasoned Pioneers' Whole Piquin Chillies,  also known as Pequin or Chile Pequeno, are small orange Mexican chillies. The oval-shaped chilli is ½ inch long and ¼ inch wide with a smoky, nutty and citrus flavour. This chilli may be small but they certainly pack a punch! With their searing heat, these chillies are 20 times hotter than a jalapeño.

The chillies are commonly used in tomato sauces and marinades for red meats to create depth of flavour.

Try leaving them to steep in olive or rapeseed oil to make a chilli infused dressing! You can also use the chillies to infuse vinegars like balsamic or apple cider.
